Holiday Season

If you're like me and you always leave your holiday shopping up until the very last possible moment, this should help you make some A1 gift decisions for the young hooper in your life. Obviously there are some massively expensive kicks on a lot of wish lists this year; adidas Crazy IIInfinity ‘Chalk’ are reselling for like $300 so unless you're a Rockefeller maybe that's not the best gift for your lil bro 👀

Instead, here’s a few models I recommend spending your cuts on. adidas and Dr. Suess have partnered for an apparel collection inspired by “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and the Forum Low x The Grinch and will only run you about $130 (shop here) 🎄

I love green suede on these and I think it suits the red and white leather, and the heart lace lock is a super sweet reference to the scene where the Grinches heart grows three sizes. If green suede isn’t really your thing, fret not because there is a pink suede Cindy Lou pair featuring bright colors and jewels 💘

If you’re going for more of a hoop vibe, the D.O.N Issue #5 Black Widow dropped a few weeks ago and will only run you about $120. I’ve heard these are amazing shoes to ball in so worth a look (shop here) 🕷

The finale of the “Pick your poison” series, these Black Window inspired Don Issue 5s come in a bold red and black colorway that suits the All-Star they call Spida ✨

Last up we have what might be the most popular shoe of the season. Off the court everyone and their mamas, sisters, dogs and cats were wearing the adidas Samba. Pretty impressive that a silhouette that was first introduced in 1949 could end up being the most ubiquitous (definition: present, appearing, or found everywhere) sneaker of the year 2023, but that’s what happens with a timeless design 🙏

With new Samba collabs on the way, there’s a lot of directions you can go here. But while everyone is buying the new trendy pair, you honestly can’t go wrong keeping it simple. adidas has a bunch of styles available that won’t run you more than $100 (shop here) 😉
