YU-GI-OH! x adidas OTW

As someone who grew up watching Yu-Gi-Oh! on WB Kids, I feel like this collaboration is long overdue. I’ve seen countless custom Dragon Ball Z sneakers or even Pokémon shoes through the years, but the sneaker community rarely shows Yu-Gi-Oh the same love. Major scene to refresh your memory 👇

This collab features two of the most iconic Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Blue Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician, on white pairs of the ADI2000 sneaker. I’m really into both of these shoes purely because I was a fan of the show, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a non fan wasn’t feeling them 🐉

That being said, I personally thought they went a little reserved with Dark Magician and Blue Eyes White Dragon. Imagine if they did a “Pot of Greed” inspired sneaker?!

Yugi and Kaiba get their own pairs of slides, which I would also rock for sure, but the velcro slide feature makes them feel especially juvenile...like something you might see a four year old wearing. Most of the comments responding to this shoe have been negative, but everyone gotta have haters 🥱

Bam Bam x New Balance

This past weekend, Action Bronson previewed his upcoming NB collab at an AEW Wrestling match, and a crazy amounts of content popped up. For people who aren't familiar with the AEW (I wasn’t familiar, I'm people), it is basically the second tier wrestling league below the WWE 🤼‍♀️

Bronson has rapped countless wrestling metaphors in his songs before, so his appearance on the mat shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with his music. My guy has recently been on an impressive weight loss and fitness journey, and he looked pretty nimble out there throwing dudes around 💪

The NB are super colorful and I appreciate that Bronson didn't make an effort to conform to the kind of bland earth tone hipster colorways we see on a ton of high profile NB collabs. He did it his way and the shoes absolutely reflect his personal style...aka this dude 👇

Bronson previously had a collab with adidas, but for whatever reason the NMD’s that he designed never saw a wide release. I guess Kanye isn't the only person to deal with adidas' supply chain issues ⛓
