Three Stripes Shows Out

We were at the Future of adidas Basketball mixer this past weekend at All-Star Weekend, and frankly I feel like adidas is making major moves in 2024. Here’s a flick from the event, was cool to see all the new models displayed like this 👇

The brand with the three stripes was hosting an immersive exhibition that featured exclusive unveilings of the Dame 9, D.O.N. Issue #6, the Trae 3, Exhibit Select Pro, a fresh AE 1 colorway and other footwear & apparel silhouettes set to release throughout 2024. Tap in to peep a few pics 🔥

First of all, being in the same room as all these incredible adidas athletes was super dope, and the shoes themselves were extremely impressive. It’s not always so easy to make dope basketball shoes that actually look like something you’d want to wear off the court in 2024, but adidas achieved that with this year’s offerings 🙏

My personal favorite shoes of the weekend were either the adidas Nova Illnfinity or the D.O.N issue 6. The Nova Illfinity are super sleek and I feel like I’d break hella necks in these, gotta show the people something they haven’t seen before you feel me? And these purple D.O.N.’s…my god 🕷

I also loved those Gray Mad Illnfinity ‘Cream’, maybe even more than the black pair we previously saw. They are set to drop sometime this year for $180 👀

Other hype adidas news was the announcement of the signing of four OTE athletes as NIL brand ambassadors. Ian Jackson (UNC commit), Karter Knox, Mikel Brown Jr. and Adam Oumiddoch got their stripes moment which was super cool - you can see all of them play in the OTE playoffs this Thursday (see schedule) 🏀

Brands and athletes should always be pushing technology, fashion and performance forward, and I feel like these upcoming releases from adidas absolutely do that 🤝
