Caitlin Clark Gets The Bag
First off, shoutout to Caitlin Clark for locking down a massive sneaker deal with Nike. After financials for the salary of the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA draft made headlines, Clark’s deal continues to push the game forward for the next generation of lady hoopers 👇

It’s fascinating to see what other offers Caitlin had to choose from, and there’s even rumors flying that Steph Curry was heavily involved in the Under Armour pitch 💧
adidas offered 4 years, $6M - aka $1.5M a year and a signature prototype
Under Armour offered 4 years, $16M - so $4M a year and a signature sneaker
PUMA backed out when it became clear that Clark's team was expecting a minimum of $3M per year
Caitlin Clark’s offers before signing with Nike:
Nike - 8 Years / $28M
Under Armour - 4 Years / $16M
Puma - Left negotiations after $3M
Adidas - 4 Years / $6M💰

Eventually, Nike got the deal done with 8 years for $28M, or $3.5M per year, and I don’t think people need to worry about her Indiana Fever salary anymore. Now all these alleged numbers and offers are courtesy of the Wall Street Journal (read here), and it’s worth noting that Nick DePaula came out and said that the numbers in this report were off 👇
Outside of Caitlin Clark news, there’s been a ton of dope kicks on the court in the early stages of these NBA playoffs. Here’s some of our favorites debuts from this past weekend, starting with Anthony Edwards and the AE 1 Low dropping this summer 🐜
