🗽 Coco Gauff x ALD Drops Today

Streetwear brand Aimé Leon Dore is teaming up with US Open champion Coco Gauff to reintroduce a throwback tennis shoe dropping today. Great timing for New Balance, Coco and ALD, and I expect these to fly off the shelf. The model come in three colorways, and personally I'm a fan of the navy. What do you think? 🎾 (2 min read)

Coco x Aimé Leon Dore

Aimé Leon Dore and US Open champion Coco Gauff have partnered to reintroduce the 1982 performance tennis shoe…the New Balance T500 dropping TODAY 👇

With the recent popularity of the New Balance 550, it makes a lot of sense that Creative Director Teddy Santis and the team over at ALD have doubled down on their throwback models. These come in cream with three different variants in the classic ALD red, navy and green 🎨

Now even though these are tennis shoes by name, you shouldn’t expect to see anyone (even Coco Guaff) rocking them on the tennis court. Teddy Santis is both the creative director of New Balance and the head huncho over at ALD, so it's not surprising to see so much synergy between the two brands as of late. Give this a quick read for more on the brand’s rise 📝

Complex recently named Teddy Santis No. 1 their streetwear power rankings, and while I personally don’t agree with it, I’m not out here compiling my own power rankings so I guess I’m not the one to judge. Teddy is definitely a genius and has dropped some fire collabs over the last few years 🔥

But I digress, and like I said earlier, these drop today at New Balance for around $150 or so, y’all copping? Big shoutout to Coco for representing the country at this year’s Open, and if you haven’t seen it yet, her speech post win was one of the best I’ve ever seen 🗣

Which color would you cop?
