🩴 Crocs First Sneaker Is Different
A decade ago Crocs were almost irrelevant. Today, they collab with brands like McDonald's and Disney, and designer Salehe Bembury is leading the charge in getting them into the sneaker market. These are different but hot, you think you can pull them off? 👀 (2 min read)
Crocs Juniper Sneaker
I remember when people used to get made fun of for wearing Crocs? It was probably around a decade ago. Well, now their High Fashion, collabing with iconic brands like McDonald’s and Disney, and designed by the best. Salehe Bembury just revealed the Crocs Juniper Sneaker, the brands first foray into the sneaker market 👇
After conquering clogs, Salehe Bembury is ready to launch the first Crocs sneaker -- the Pollex Juniper.
What's your first reaction to these? 🧠

Back in 2021, Mr. Bembury designed the Crocs Pollex Clog and had people paying a fatty resale price for Crocs, something we hadn’t seen before. Today, you can get them for around $100, which might a little up after Drake was seen wearing them 🦉

These Pollex Crocs clogs were a massive hit and I saw so many people wearing them these past few years it’s kind of nuts. Obviously Crocs have been largely popular for decades, but it didn’t feel like they were on the map fashion wise until Salehe starting designing for them. He’s the man and also has a New Balance shoe that just dropped 💧
I appreciate that the Crocs Juniper sneaker doesn’t look like anything else out right now, besides the fact that the sole kind of resembles the Pollex clogs. The sneaker market is full of kicks that kind of look like other popular shoes, but these totally stand alone which I respect 🙏

It would have been very easy for Crocs to make a shoe that looked like a Samba or an AF1, but instead they realized that the sneaker market is in desperate need of fresh new ideas. I recognize that with that larger sole some folks will feel like these are too “out there” for them to wear, but I think the real stylish people with “unconventional” fashion sense will jump on these 🔥
So these will drop in summer 2024, which I know is a little ways a way. But keep an eye on it…you might want a pair by then 😉
