PUMA Hoops Signs Flau’jae Johnson

Puma Hoops has announced the signing of viral sensation Flau’Jea Johnson, a two way star (Hooper and Rapper) for the next generation. The Georgia native appeared on America's Got Talent in 2018 🎞

Since that performance, Flau’Jae has released a ton of music and built a sizable following. Music career aside, Johnson is an elite prospect on the court, earning McDonalds All-American honors this past year

The emerging star is signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, so it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that she signed with PUMA Hoops (Jay-Z is PUMA’s creative director of basketball) 🏀

• PUMA hoops has been on tear recently, snatching up and signing young talent such as LaMelo Ball, Breanna Stewart, Scott Henderson and many others

• Considering the success that PUMA had with LaMelo's signature shoe, we would love to see them do something similar for a Flau’Jae signature model

PUMA recently released the first women's signature shoe model for a WNBA player in more than decade with Breanna Stewart’s “The Stewie 1” 💧

We would love to see more signature shoes for female hoopers, so hopefully PUMA and Flau’Jae can build something dope together!

OVO x Bathing Ape

Drake’s lifestyle brand Octobers Very Own is collaborating with Bathing Ape on the upcoming BAPE STA 🦉

Widely known for ripping off the Nike Air Force 1, the BAPE STA is a controversial and coveted sneaker. Some AF1 truthers dismiss the shoe as a knock off, but in reality, the quality on most BAPE STA's far exceeds anything being used on today's Air Force 1’s

Drake’s first signature shoe, the ‘Hotstep Air Terra’, was released to mixed reviews this past year

For the record, we at Overtime Kicks really love the Hotsteps, and didn't think they deserve all the KSwiss comparisons. We also saw early photos of a Drake Certified Lover Boy AF1, but rumor has it those were scrapped because the hearts along the soul were too hard to manufacture (lol) 💔

While fans were dismayed that those AF1 never dropped, these BAPE STA at least gives them a chance to buy something similar. The crocodile leather and the OVO along the star are a little gaudy, but they suit Drake 🐊

Already seeing some comments saying these shoes are bricks...but we are here for them, the black pair especially!
