New Giannis & Luka Kicks

NBA playoffs start in just a few days, great timing by Nike and Jordan on two new highly anticipated releases. First off, we have a First Look at Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 6th signature shoe, the Nike Zoom Freak 6 🦌

First impressions right of the bat, I think these are a clean sneaker and I appreciate how wearable they look. This first look pair features a thorny rose design that wraps around the Nike swoosh, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that's something that’s exclusive to this specific pair and not emblematic of all the Zoom Freak 6 colorways we see in the future 🫡

This rose pattern brings me back to the Austin Reaves valentines day shoe in a big way, except this pair does not appear to feature removable velcro part 🌹

Also, these shoes look a lot like the Zoom Freak 5s that we will see Giannis wearing throughout the playoffs (if he plays) 👀

We don’t yet have an official word on when these drop, but I expect sometime this summer in the offseason. Next up, we just got our first look at the Jordan Luka 3 ahead of Dončić and the Dallas Mavericks’ playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers 😮‍💨

The shoe design is inspired by Luka’s love of race cars, and the sleek and sophisticated look of the sneaker certainly supports that. The webbing on the Luka 3 is made from a material that mimics a seatbelt, and every Luka 3 colorway is made with at least 20% recycled material by weight, making them lighter than the Luka 2s 💨

These beauties will cost you $130 and are set to drop on July 5th and 11th. Idk about you but I’m rooting for the Mavs to make a big playoff push 🏀
