Simpsons’ shoes are being brought to life! Back in season 2 of the Simpsons, Ned Flanders had Homer mad jealous when he pulled out the “ASSASSIN” sneakers 💧

In the 90s when this episode debuted, the ASSASSIN were widely understood to be inspired by and in reference to the Nike Air Trainer SC popularized by Bo Jackson

In the show these kicks cost $125, about $205 in today's money. Now in the year 2023, the ASSASSIN’s are being made by RETRO CLOTHING, a company I hadn’t heard of before today. Take a look 👇

RETRO CLOTHING is charging $180 for these, and I’m somewhat on the fence about whether this is a good price or not. $180 is what you can expect to spend on just about any major sneaker release these days, but is that price point reserved for trusted brands like Nike and adidas? 😳

I think most consumers feel more comfortable plopping that money down when they already know the brand and have confidence in the quality of the product they're purchasing. What do you think, y’all copping? 👀
