Ja Morant Is Tweeting AGAIN 🐥
Ja Morant went to Twitter to talk trash on Jordan Mids, but is he being a little hypocritical? Plus, Lil Nas X just showed off an AF1 x Timbs collab that we have some thoughts about. Let's break it down 🥾 (4 min read)

Ja Morant Hates Mids
Ja Morant has never been shy on Twitter, but last week he went after the average Jordan buyer 👀
wearing mids in 2022 is crazyyyy 😭

It's known in the Jordan community that you never want to buy Jordan 1 Mids. It's a rookie mistake. They're the kind of shoe your parents find at Marshalls and buy for you. You get all excited that they told you they bought you Jordans, but then you see what they come home with 😭
Sneakerheads hate mids because they tend to be more available and have worse colorways
Some say Nike is over-saturating the Jordan 1s by releasing so many mids. With that said, they still remain the most timeless shoe of all-time
Personally, I'd never wear mids, but I do respect people who aren't spending $500 on resell platforms to get a pair of high-tops
Aight sneaker heads we need to talk about this. Why are Jordan 1 MIDS so disrespected? They’re like the lepers of the sneaker community. Are they really that gross or do they just have a stigma? If Travis wore em you’d love them 😂.

For all the smack talk Ja is talking, there was a time where he himself donned a pair of mids for a photoshoot in Soho 🥶

Granted, this was 2019, and Ja's tweet was specifically about wearing them in 2022. With more "newbies" getting into the sneaker game, mids definitely serve a purpose and exist for the demographic who doesn't care if they're wearing highs, lows or mids...they just want a pair of Jordans 👟
What do you think? Is Ja being a little hypocritical? 👇

Lil Nas X AF1 Timbs
Lil Nas X isn't new to stirring up the sneaker community. Remember when he teamed up with MSCHF a few years back on a satanic Air Max 97?
US: Judge Eric Komitee has temporarily banned the Lil Nas X satanic Air Max 97 shoes from being sold, according to The Hollywood Reporter, after Nike sued MSCHF who worked with Lil Nas X to create it.

Many accused Nas X of trolling when he released the Satan blood shoe and the accompanying explicit video. Detractors would even go as far as saying he dropped those kicks for clicks and clout 😡
If that was his mission, frankly it worked, as those who were scandalized by the shoes and voiced their opinions on social ultimately gave the release more publicity
One notable hater was former No. 1 Overall pick Trevor Lawrence 🏈
Line has to be drawn somewhere. Smh.

While Nas X's newest AF1 x Timberland combo has certainly drawn its fair share of negativity, I don't think these will strike fear into the souls of good hearted Americans quite like the 97s did 🥾
Looks like Lil Nas X is wearing an Air Force 1 and Timberland collab we haven’t seen yet👀👀

If anything, these may draw some cynicism from the pediatric community, because there is no way wearing an AF1 strapped into a Timberland boot is good for your ankle support 🦶
That being said, these shoes may end up being a cult hit among people who still think "chop cheese, Yankee fitted, deadass NYC etc." are still funny jokes to be made about the five boroughs
Nas debuted the shoes while wearing a denim suit. I don't know what kind of throwback look he was going for, but he's certainly referencing something with early 2000s Hip-Hop 🎤
It looks like Lil Nas X has this interesting Air Force 1 and Timberland concoction going on…Roommates, what are your thoughts? 🤔
