It’s Jordan Brand’s Year

Jordan Brand is gearing up for what feels like their biggest year yet. Amid reports of Nike's falling stock price, they're pulling out all the stops to ensure their shoes fly off shelves in 2025 💸

Their strategy? They're retroing every coveted Jordan sneaker in quick succession ⬇️

Personally, I'm a fan of this approach—Black Cat 4s currently cost $800 on the resale market, which is a ridiculous price to ask a child to pay. And let's not forget, it's mostly children who want these sneakers 🐈‍⬛ 

Jordan Brand knows exactly what people want: Black Cement 3s (dropped this past holiday season), Banned 1s, Black Toe 1s, Black Metallic 5s, Cool Grey 9s, UNC 1s, White Cement 4s, and more. All these classics are dropping in 2025, and while it's awesome to have shoes to look forward to, I'm scared for everyone's wallets—including mine 🫂 

Now, let me get deep for a minute. Jordan Brand knows we want the Chicago 1s again, but they won't give us the same pair that dropped in 2016 😢 

Instead, they gave us the Lost and Founds with the aged collar, knowing that people thirsty for an OG Chicago pair would happily break bread for these. Selling the Lost and Founds in 2022 means they can drop the actual OG Chicago again in 2026 (or whenever)

They pulled the same move with the Reimagined Bred 4s and the new lighter elephant print Black Cement 3s 🧱 

Give people what they want—but not exactly—so you can give them what they actually want at a later date. Pretty shrewd 🫡 

We're rumored to be getting an all-time grail with the Undefeated 4s later this year, but maybe we'll get a slightly altered version so they can sell us the actual Undefeated 4s later
