Crocs Making New Crocs

Just a few months ago back in December 2021, Salehe Bembury dropped the "Crocs Pollex Clogs" that set the sneaker world on fire. Known for his work with Versace, Yeezy Gap and Cole Haan, Bembury was asked to make the Crocs brand desirable to sneakerheads 💧

They immediately sold out upon release, and now eight months later, some colorways sell for around $400 on the resale market 🩴

You obviously know Crocs for their Classic Clog that goes for $50 in basically every color. Let's be real, we've all had a pair and probable even seen our Grandmas rock them. But now, Crocs is offering an affordable reimagining of the classic silhouette, this time without the help of an A-list collaborator 🎥

  • While the Pollex Clog was undoubtedly a hit with consumers, the sneaker community was put off by the pricey resale market

  • However, this upcoming release gives you an opportunity to cop a groovy pair at a more reasonable price

I've got a lot to say on the matter, you got a sec? 👇

Kobe Hooped In AF1s?

On July 18, 2002, Kobe Bryant pulled up to the legendary Rucker Park in Harlem. He laced up a pair of Nike Air Force 1 Mids and proceeded to embarrass every player that tried to guard him 🐍

  • In 2020, Nike dropped an AF1 low inspired by the mids Kobe wore at Rucker Park. While Kobe's pair featured an embroidered Nike NYC logo, the 2020 release has Rucker Park's 10039 zip code stitched on the side

  • Peep a pair of the same mids Kobe wore at Rucker Park 👇

We know Kobe in AF1s on the basketball court was for a special occasion, but do you know who ALWAYS wore these kicks throughout their NBA career? Rasheed Wallace. He even had his own "SHEED" logo stitched on them, a silhouette of his iconic fadeaway shotWe need an NBA player to bring these kicks back to the hardwood, blisters and all. Peep my thoughts 👇

Ye Makes A Big Hire

The Godfather of Dad shoes...ever heard of him? Steven Smith is a design LEGEND, and was just appointed Head of Donda Industrial Design by Kanye West. Smith will bring a veteran presence to Ye's brand, and has left his mark on some big time apparel companies in the past 👨‍🎨

  • Designed the Nike Spiridon, Yeezy Boost 700 (aka the wave runner), New Balance 550, the Foam Runners and countless other models

  • Now, he's the brains behind Ye's new "Donda Foam Vehicle" 👇

This car looks like something out of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, and the Foam Vehicle could offer a glimpse into what Kanye is planning to create in the future 🔮

Donda Industrial Designs will undoubtedly push the Yeezy brand far outside the realm of apparel and footwear, and Steven Smith will be the one to bring Ye's vision to life. Whatever Kanye and Smith are up to will definitely make some noise...check it out 🗣
