LeBron Is Releasing Vintage 2003 AF1s 👑
The Four Horseman Nike AF1s are dropping in 2023, thank you LeBron. Plus a preview of Nike's NFT sneaker program...what's happening 👽 (4 min read)

Four Horseman Nike AF1
Back in 2003, Nike created the ‘Four Horseman Nike AF1’ for LeBron James and his inner circle of business partners, Maverick Carter, Rich Paul and Randy Mims 🤝
The shoes themselves are extremely gorgeous, featuring a timeless green and white colorway, a green and grey double swoosh and an iconic embroidered Knight on the heel. Nike is gearing up to release these in 2023...they've never been available to the public at retail 👀

The idea behind the shoes was that each member of the Four Horseman got their own personalized pair, with their initials embroidered on the back heel tab. It's pretty cool to see non-athletes get signature shoes, and just a few days ago PJ Tucker actually gifted a pair of Mims' shoes...to Ernie Ramos. I don't get how PJ does it 🤣

LeBron doesn't get too many AF1 releases anymore, but back in the day he was dropping serious heat with his "Chamber of Fear" pack 👑

The “Chamber of Fear” ad campaign was launched by Nike back in '05 to promote the Zoom LeBron II. Each shoe represented a unique mental obstacle that the young King James had to overcome in order to achieve greatness. If you haven't seen this ad...give me 90 seconds of your time 👇

RTFKT x Nike
I'm just gonna come out in say it...I'm not a NFT guy. I'm not a Web3 guy. I am not inherently interested in the virtual world. Second life, virtual sneakers, bored apes…none of these things appeal to me. None of these things are cool in my eyes. That being said, I think these RTFKT X Nike are pretty ill 💧
Ngl new @RTFKT x @Nike shoe is really dope.
Now this, I would forge.

These are a first look at Nike’s NFT program that will create NFT sneakers that will later be released in physical form. I appreciate the fact that these shoes seem to exist in the liminal world, between reality and virtual reality. I’m not 100% sure if the sneakers I’m looking at are real life shoes or merely virtual tokens. I guess that's the point. And if that's the point of these shoes, to make you wonder if what you're looking it is even real, then they're a smash success 👽
I take back my words. This @Nike X @RTFKT shoes is really a cool. The real cryptokicks is gonna be a banger 🔥⚒️.

They definitely give me Nike Adapt vibes, and they are clearly pretty robotic. Safe to say these are the most futuristic Nike shoes we’ve seen so far? They look like Marty McFly would definitely approve, sign me up too
