👟🔥 Messi and Adidas Bring On a Crazy Third Collaborator

Adidas has brought together two of its biggest partners, Leo Messi and Bad Bunny, for a new three-way collaboration, marking an unprecedented crossover between sports and music in the sneaker world (2 min read)

Leo Messi x Bad Bunny x Adidas

The two biggest stars in the world are collaborating on a sneaker. No, not Bronny James and Taylor Swift, not Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez—this is Bad Bunny and the real GOAT Leo Messi teaming up on a couple of beautiful adidas sneakers ⬇️

Messi and Benito are two of the biggest stars on the adidas roster, and while they hail from different homelands (Argentina and Puerto Rico, respectively), there's a lot of overlap in their fan bases 🇦🇷 🇵🇷

The collab features both a lifestyle shoe (the adidas Gazelle) and a soccer (fútbol) cleat. They both sport beautiful baby blue accents and a brown upper. These are super grown and sexy, not a childish collab by any stretch of the imagination 🤌

They really remind me of some of the adidas Wales Bonner collabs that have taken the fashion world by storm in recent years 👇

It feels like the muted approach is a big part of adidas' strategy these days. In an era when being a "sneakerhead" is kind of becoming passé, it makes sense that adidas is straying away from the chunky, colorful sneakers that one might expect to see from adidas' competition 😮‍💨

Now, I'm not really a fan of the "Aimé Leon Dore" grown-up knit sweater, corduroy-wearing, New Balance-rocking, Land Rover-driving aesthetic thing. I like the colorful chunky stuff—I think it's cool to be flashy if you can pull it off 🤷

That being said, I applaud adidas for making a shoe that feels understated and tasteful while still paying homage to the two MASSIVE mega stars who inspired the sneaker ⭐️
