KD17 ‘Producer Pack’

Kevin Durant is a real music head. Nike and KD are putting together a ‘Producer Pack’ for the newly released Nike KD17, honoring legendary record producers. The pack features three different colorways for each artist, with all three expected to drop as early as June 14th for $160 🎧

Fresh off his feud with Nike signature artist Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham, I was kind of surprised that Metro Boomin would be working with Nike, but honestly when the big check calls you best pick up. His KD17 features a black and purple colorway, and the silhouette from his NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES album with 21 Savage from 2018 is displayed on the tongue of the shoe 🔥

Legendary producer Bink! has a pair arriving in an orange, khaki and brown color arrangement, with his signature below the swoosh and his hands motif at the heel. Bink!’s most high profile work was for Jay-Z’s The Blueprint, for which he produced three songs. I really like these take a look 👇

The Alchemist brings us home with a lavender base color highlighted by the neon green swoosh, and if you’re unfamiliar with his work you’re welcome because I just put you on 🤝

Back in 2022, Nike released a 3-shoe KD15 ‘Producer Pack’ that featured pairs honoring Boi-1da, Cardo and 9th Wonder. 9th Wonder is one of my favorite producers and he doesn’t get enough love. Peep this 🔊

Kevin is 35 with no wife and no kids, so it makes a lot of sense that he’s getting more into music as he gets older. He was even credited as an A&R on Drake’s For All The Dogs album and appeared in a pretty slick NOCTA campaign 💵

I love the Air Max influence on the KD17, he’s a tasteful dude and he’s making shoes that look good off the court as well 🐍
