🏈 adidas Is Coming For Nike
Everyone knows the Oregon Ducks are THE Nike school, but now we have adidas backing Michael Penix Jr. and the Washington Huskies. The two teams play tonight for a Pac-12 title and a possible college football playoff berth, and if that wasn't enough we also have adidas CEO chirping at Nike and Nike executives clapping back. I love it all 🗣 (2 min read)
Nike vs. adidas
adidas has officially launched its #Penix4Heisman campaign, endorsing Washington Huskies star Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. for this season’s Heisman Trophy award 🏆
What makes a Heisman Trophy winner?
Diligence.
Perseverance.
Hard Work.It takes a season of transcending greatness.

Additionally, adidas is campaigning for Penix’s teammate, Rome Odunze, to win the Biletnikoff award, which recognizes the most outstanding receiver in college football 🤲
Washington Huskies junior WR Rome Odunze regular season stat line:
☔️ 1,326 receiving yards
☔️ 14 total TD
☔️ 18.2 YPC
☔️ Biletnikoff Award finalist (award for best WR in college football)Odunze will likely be a first round draft pick and should draw PLENTY of interest. 📈

Now I personally believe that the Heisman is a two man race between Penix and Bo Nix that will be settled tonight at 8PM EST on ABC, when the #5 Oregon Ducks and the #3 Washington Huskies clash for the Pac-12 Championship. The Ducks are going with the all white Nike fit 🔥
Pursue excellence.

I am 1000% behind the adidas-sponsored Washington Huskies and I think Mike, Rome and the guys are going to pull out another dub against the Nike-sponsored Oregon Ducks. In other adidas vs. Nike news, 3 stripes CEO Bjørn Gulden had some direct words for his Oregon based competitors 🗣
"To the people from Nike here: Watch out, we have a lot in the pipeline." 😬😬

LET’S F*CKING GET IT! I love this kind of energy in the sneaker world, and I really appreciate that Bjørn said this while accepting Footwear News shoe of the year award for the adidas Samba 🙏
There were definitely some ruffled Oregon duck feathers in the audience when adidas took home the W. I also think that we will see an adidas x A$AP Nast collab in the near future, but that’s just me speculating because he’s in the photo with Bjørn above. To close the loop, we got a clap back from Nike - adidas officially poked the bear 💀
"Bring it on, we ready for you." 😳

In the meantime, is there anyone in the 3 Stripe world who can get me right with some of the Wales Bonner joints? Thank you in advance. Go Huskies 🏈
