👾 Nike Unveils Wemby's A.I. Shoes

Shoutout to Nike for flying me out first class to Paris for the Nike: On Air activation. We saw Wemby's A.I prototype, unveiling of the Olympic basketball jerseys, track jerseys and soccer cleats. What an amazing time to be alive 🙏 (2 min read)

Nike A.I. Air Prototypes

Nike unveiled multiple A.I. driven prototypes as part of their Nike: On Air presentation, but none caused a bigger stir than the prototype they designed for Wemby 👽

Shoutout to Nike for flying the boy first class to Paris and giving me the opportunity to peep the Nike: On Air activation in person. Travis Scott, Martine Rose, Ronaldinho Gaúcho and many other A-listers were in attendance for the unveiling of this year’s Nike Olympic jerseys and the reveal of the aforementioned A.I. prototypes 🥇

Now it’s worth mentioning that these are not representations of what an actual Wemby Nike sneaker would look like, this shoe is basically an art piece that combines designer insight, Wemby’s insight, Nike Sport Research Lab data and A.I. 🤝

I find these shoes (and all the other A.I. generated Nike prototypes) extremely beautiful and almost alien. The white and orange glow of these reminds me of something out of the alien film Prometheus. These shoes don’t feature laces and many folks in the comments were concerned that wearing these might lead to ankle injury. Once again, I repeat these are basically an artistic mock up and not something that would ever be produced for retail 😮‍💨

They also designed shoes for Erling Haaland, Vinicius JR, Sam Kerr, and my goat Sha’carri Richardson. Those didn’t cause as much of a stir for whatever reason but they were all equally gorgeous 🔥

I didn’t have time to give out the Tatum’s today but next week for sure, my bad fam. Thank you again to Nike for flying us out this week, I should probably just stay in Paris for a while 🥐
