Pete Carroll's Dad Shoes 👴
Pete Carroll's shoes were the talk of the town on Monday night. Plus, Nate Diaz hates The Rock's new MMA kicks 😡. Lemme borrow some of your time real quick (4 min read)

Nate Diaz Don't GAF
We recently saw The Rock and UFC come together to release a pair of performance athletic sneakers. Obviously the shoes aren’t really geared towards a streetwear audience...they’re more for weightlifters and general workout shoes. Nate Diaz is a notorious for not giving a f*ck, and he kept that same energy with this interview 👇
Nate Diaz is not a fan of The Rock’s shoes 😂😂😂

Not only are his comments sure to piss off Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, but I can't imagine they’re sitting well with UFC boss Dana White either 😡

I imagine there is a clause in Nate’s contract that states that he has to wear whatever the UFC gives him, but they better come correct with some better gear next time because clearly Nate isn’t afraid to call a dub a dub 👀
I feel Nate though, the shoes are ugly. But the UFC is not really trying to compete with stylish brands like Nike or Adidas, this shoe is geared toward the ultimate fighting community. However, people feel some type of way about athletes being forced to wear something without getting paid, which I get
When you see UFC fighters endorse the Rock's shoes remember the fighters are getting no extra money to promote these shoes. It is exploitative.
Please do not buy these ugly shoes and consider donating direct to a fighters twitch or only fans

It's not like anyone is getting fly in these shoes, they're for working out and beating the snot out of dudes in the Octagon. I respect Nate’s honestly, because in a fake world he is unapologetically keeping it a bean ☠️
That being said, if I was in Nates position I wouldn't fumble my bags and blessing by trashing my employer, but that's just me...

Coach Pete's Big Win
Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll got a huge dub last night over his former QB Russell Wilson, and he did it wearing a pair of his trusty Nike Air Monarch (peep the video to see the shoes) 👟
What a SASSY challenge by Pete Carroll

The Monarchs are without a doubt the quintessential Dad shoe. Whether you're wearing them while BBQing, mowing the grass or just taking a walk through the mall, these sneakers have an unmistakable middle aged quality about them 👴
Either Pete Carroll switched sneakers or Nike has released a new version of the Air Monarchs. I think the latter.

Pete is 70-years-old and well beyond his middle aged years, but he's one of the spryest coaches in the league. He’s so active and youthful on the sideline that some fans have compared the silver haired fox to the older gentlemen in Cialis commercials who are “always ready when the moments right” 😂

Back to the kicks...Pete is so true to the Monarchs that Nike even recognized his dedication with a custom Seahawks inspired pair. While Monarchs typically sell for around $55, Pete's custom pair go for thousands 💰

The Monarchs got some attention recently, when Ye West tweeted a photo of the wonky Martine Rose Monarchs in an effort to express his displeasure with Adidas 💩

At the end of the day, I'm just hyped on Coach Carroll for rocking these dad shoes in the first place. Throw in a win on Monday Night Football vs. your former Super Bowl winning QB and you've got all of our attention 🍿
