🎾 Supreme x Nike New Tennis Shoe
The Nike Courtposite has been a long forgotten tennis model, but say no more. Supreme and Nike have tapped World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz to debut their newest collab, and hopefully breathe new life into the iconic shoe. Great timing with the US Open kicking off in New York earlier this week 🤝 (2 min read)

These new and improved kicks were originally released as the tennis counterpart to the legendary performance basketball shoe: the Foamposite 🤝

Just as the foams have been occasionally criticized for being heavy and difficult to break in, the Courtposite was met with negative reactions from Nike Tennis athletes like Andre Agassi, who reportedly refused to rock a pair. Despite the initial negative reception from the tennis community, Nike and Supreme have enlisted the help of World No. 1 Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz to introduce the shoe to the world 🇪🇸

Now upon further investigation, the shoes actually were debuted in the Supreme Fall/Winter 2023 Lookbook (👈 whole collection is sick). That being said, we didn’t really get a good look at the shoe, and they didn’t really get their spotlight in the flicks. I think a lot of people will sleep on this release because the shoes are too unique or too weird or whatever, but it sucks to sleep and I think these are heat 🔥
BTW while we’re on Supreme, I still haven’t made my mind up about the Rammellzee Supreme Dunks dropping this week. I love Rammellzee and I love Supreme x Nike collabs, but this one kinda feels childish to me, not because of the print (that’s the best part), but instead because the black and beige suede color looks kinda funky to me. Am I bugging, what do you think?

Either way big week for tennis with the US Open (peep the bracket), big week for Carlos Alcaraz who will play his second round match tomorrow, and big week for Supreme. New Yorker’s hold onto your wallets 💵
