Kobe 6 ‘Team USA’

My guy Q, aka Quentin Grimes, gave us our first look at the new Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Team USA” PEs that will be worn by Team USA during the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup in the Philippines later this month 🇺🇸

Grimes, who is on the USA Select Team that will help prepare the 12-man roster, posted two pairs on IG, a white home colorway and the corresponding blue away pair. These will be player exclusives limited to the players on the team; Jalen Brunson, Brandon Ingram, Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton to name a few 🏀

A few NBA vets have been criticized for not lending their talents to Team USA for the World Cup, but personally I’m looking forward to watching these younger guys get a chance to hold the reins 👏

This isn't the first time we’ve seen the USA colorway on Kobes - at the 2008 Beijing Olympics we saw a team USA Kobe Zoom II and Kobe Strength USA Olympics. Both were fresh 💧

These USA Olympic Kobe 7s are pretty tuff as well and are going for $700 on StockX 💰

Considering how limited and coveted these shoes will be, I expect them to cost thousands of dollars on the resale market. Sheeeeesh 🥵
