Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan

Yesterday, Teyana Taylor and Nike dropped the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2. Teyana is one of my favorite artists and her album K.T.S.E. is 100% no skips and easily in my personal Top-10 💿

That being said, these shoes are not it for me. I think it's dope that Nike allowed this collaboration to be so imaginative, but I don't personally think these are shoes that I would want to wear on foot. Sorry Teyana 😏

They def look cool and they demonstrate a dope willingness on the part of Nike to borrow from other successful collabs, specifically the big swoosh from the Travis Scott’s (this time its facing forward) ➡️

I also think these kind of a have a bizzaro Off-White Chicago thing going on. The shoes are super literal, they reference the track Rose In Harlem from Teyanas aforementioned K.T.S.E. record, and the embroidered rose vine accents are a nice touch 🌹

I know they swung for the fences with these shoes and made them super aesthetically complex and layered, but I ultimately think there was an opportunity to make them a little cleaner and symmetrical…wonder what that would have looked like. You copping? 🤔
