Yesterday we got the first look at Union's upcoming Air Jordan 1 collab, and frankly I'm a huge fan 👏

I expect a lot of people to get pissed off when they see the obvious Air Footscape Woven influence, but I actually think those details make the shoe. Earlier this year we got a look at some Chicago Union AJ1, and obviously those set the internet on fire because everyone was optimistic that they would be the next union AJ1 👀

I knew better - just like they’ve done with their previous post AJ1 releases, Union does not aim to give the consumer everything they want, all at once. If the goal was to make the most hype shoe, they could basically reissue their past AJ1 silhouette in any color and people would buy it. Literally everything is fire 👇

I really appreciate that Union is looking to enrich their audience a little bit by giving them a sneaker model that will require a little work on their end. The footscape woven is so fire and they're the kind of Nike model that I wish we saw more retros of 🙏

Who knows, maybe this Union release will bring back the woven kicks. These gorgeous Union LA x AJ1s will drop in August, so prepare your bank accounts 💰
