The Inevitable Happened
VICTOR βWEMBYβ WEMBANYAMA IS THE BIGGEST PROSPECT SINCE LEBRON. There, I said it π
Wemby is currently signed with Nike, and will be under contract with the big check βοΈ for the next two years. Already an international sensation, Victor made a strong impression on US soil this past week, showing out in two games against a G league ignite team led by Scoot Henderson π
37 points, 5 blocks and 7 made 3s for Victor Wembanyama in his first ever game on US soil. Showed exactly why he's considered a generational talent and the projected No. 1 pick in a loaded draft class.

Victor is currently the unanimous choice for 1st overall pick in next years draft, and Scoot is the odds on favorite to go second. Henderson signed to a seven-figure deal with Puma back in June, joining LaMelo Ball and Mikey Williams on the brands rejuvenated hoops roster. But the bag is coming out from the big brands, expect more deals to drop soon π
BREAKING: Nike has signed 5 student-athletes to NIL endorsement deals:
β’ Bronny James, Sierra Canyon guard
β’ Caitlin Clark, Iowa PG
β’ DJ Wagner, Top 2023 guard from Camden, NJ
β’ Haley Jones, Stanford guard
β’ JuJu Watkins, Sierra Canyon guardβ Nick DePaula (@NickDePaula)

I wonder if there's room for Puma on that roster for the biggest prospect in the world, as Wemby will obviously command a ton of offers from other sneaker giants in the lead up to his sneaker free agency. Obviously Nike has him now, and it makes sense that the biggest star would stay with the biggest brand. Could Victor be the face of Nike after LeBron and KD retire? π
There's talk of a signature shoe deal on the horizon, either from Nike, which has Wembanyama under contract for two more seasons, or other companies. Wembanyama will test the old adage "big men don't sell shoes," with the incredible interest he's generating on and off the floor.

Undoubtedly he has the hype, but all that ultimately depends on how well he pans out as a prospect. I donβt think Victor will be a bust, but a body that size certainly has injury concerns. Expect adidas to make a huge push for him given their overseas market...signing a French star would be a no brainer. Stay tuned π
Fun fact: Overtime used to sponsor Victor's jersey π
