Kanye’s Gap Disaster 🗑

The YZY Gap pop-up finally happened, but buyers were actually shopping out of dumpsters...not a good look. Plus, Jordan has teamed up with A Ma Maniére for another Air Jordan collab. Let's go 🗣 (3 min read)

YZY Gap

For the first time ever, Kanye's YZY Gap collab was available to purchase IN STORE. Crowds of young Yeezy fans lined up and down the block, waiting for a chance to get inside and dig through the massive crates full of baggy black hoodies and shirts, all adorned with the Yeezy dove 🕊

Ye partnered with Demma (creator of Balenciaga) for this drop, a collaboration that seems to have eased the production strains and miscommunications surrounding Ye's relationship with Gap 🤝

However, the collab has disappointed fans, who were expecting to be able to walk into their local gap and purchase YZY Gap. Instead, they were literally going through dumpsters trying to find what they wanted...kinda gross and unorganized. After the Time Square popup, the brand did the same thing out in LA 🌞

Either way, I kinda want something and was just browsing the site. What are you feeling? 👕

A Ma Maniére x Jordan

A Ma Maniére continues their hot streak of Air Jordan collabs with an upcoming Jordan 4 "Violet Ore" drop, which is rumored to be released in November 2022. Outside of the Jordan 1, the Jordan 4 is arguably the most popular silhouette, so expect some competition trying to cop these kicks 👀

A Ma Maniére has teamed up with Jordan Brand on numerous occasions over the past two years, including the Air Jordan 1 (2021), Air Jordan 2 (2022), Air Jordan 3 (2021) and now the Air Jordan 4. Is it safe to assume the AJ5 is on the horizon? 🤔

We may see an Air Jordan 5 in the future, however, it seems A Ma Maniére has decided to skip a few numbers and jump straight to the Jordan 12s. Earlier this month, the AJ12 collab was revealed, donning the iconic burgundy accents 🔥

The mastermind and owner behind A Ma Maniére is James Whitmer, an American fashion entrepreneur. But, did you know Whitmer also owns Social Status? This upscale boutique just dropped the Nike Air Max Penny 1 "Recess" sneakers — check out our first reaction 👇
