Reports suggest that Palace Skateboards will be working with Nike for the first time in its history. The London-based skate brand is expected to collaborate on Nike's new Air Max DN8 model, with the project slated for release in 2025 (2 min read)

Nike and Palace are collaborating on an Air Max DN8. This one is for the mandem—for all my UK brothers who truly carry the Air Max movement 🇬🇧

If you're unfamiliar with Palace, think of it as Supreme's younger sibling. While everything they do in London draws inspiration from New York City (sorry not sorry!), they make cool stuff—no shade! 🤷

It's essentially a clothing brand for thirty-something project managers who want to dress like twenty-something skateboarders, but hey, whatever floats your boat. Don't get me wrong—Palace makes awesome clothes, and I'm extremely excited for this collaboration 🗣️

Palace has had an impressive 10-year run with Adidas collaborations since 2014. Now that they're preparing to work with Nike, it seems that partnership has run its course. It's fascinating how Nike and Adidas refuse to work with the same brands simultaneously. They take their competition seriously, especially when it comes to collaborators. For the sake of friendly competition, it would be interesting if these brands got a little brave and collaborated with the same brands at the same time. Imagine seeing competing collabs between Adidas and Nike running simultaneously—who do you think would sell more sneakers? ⬇️
